This policy explains how Yekeep ("we", "us") handles personal data when you use our restaurant ordering platform, our website, and our ordering pages used by restaurants and their guests. We comply with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) of Malaysia.
1. Data we collect
- Restaurant staff and owners: name, phone number, email, login credentials, role, and billing details.
- Guests: phone number (when provided for membership or ordering), order details (dishes, amounts, table, pickup time), and payment status returned by the payment provider. We do not store card numbers or banking passwords.
- Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and error logs, used for security, support and fraud prevention.
2. How we use data
- To provide ordering, kitchen, payment, membership and reporting features;
- To process subscriptions, invoices and support requests;
- To secure the service, prevent abuse and comply with legal obligations;
- To improve features using aggregated, non-identifying statistics.
3. Sharing
- Payment providers (e.g. FPX, card and e-wallet partners) receive the order amount and reference needed to process payment;
- Cloud and messaging providers process data on our instructions under contract;
- We do not sell personal data. We disclose it only where required by law or to protect rights and safety.
4. Storage and security
Data is stored on servers in Malaysia and Singapore with access controls, encryption in transit, and audit logs. We retain data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by Malaysian law.
5. Your rights (PDPA)
- Access and correct your personal data;
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications;
- Request deletion where no legal obligation requires retention;
- Lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Commissioner if unresolved.
